This session is designed for new professionals, college students, or anyone who would like to brush up on their soft skills. Research by Lake Michigan College shows that most people do not lose their jobs because of a lack of technical skills, but because they have trouble getting along with people. This one hour, hands-on workshop gives attendees practical tips that they can start using immediately to become better at their jobs.
Avoiding Social Media Pitfalls for Educators
Learn to avoid creating the kinds of posts that can cause headaches for your school district and/or lead to job termination. This workshop features real-world examples and tips for creating a positive social media presence. Free tip: If you wouldn't put it on your classroom wall, don't post it on social media.
